Time at the Park

We were out and about the other day and decided to stop at the park for a bit to play. Tristan was at my mom's so it was just me and the four youngest. It was freaking hot but this park in Hamilton has a lot of trees so that helped a lot. Also I had packed a cooler stocked with ice cold beverages! I pretty much always travel with a cooler anymore. It just saves us tons of money when we are out and about running errands and what not. If I were to stop and get everyone drinks every time they were thirsty, I would cost a fortune!! But, drinks bought in bulk and stuffed in a cooler don't....or at least not as much.

So, they had a good time and wore me out. We went home and hopped in the pool soon after this. Cullen went home and was put down for a nap. He's getting so hard to keep up with anymore. And he's into everything! Yesterday he somehow dragged the cooler into the living room from the kitchen and dumped all the melted water all over the living room carpet! Then he found a bag of chips that one of the older boys had left on the table and took that to the living room and crushed that all over the carpet! Fun.

Tristan said that he is going to move in with Grandma Trapp so that I will have more room for the baby! HA! He wishes! He and Grandma have some kind of special connection. It's pretty cool. But, he pretty much never wants to come home anymore!

I do lots of things to keep the cost of living down in our house. One of the things I do is tear my dryer sheets in half for each load. I get twice the value for my money....and you can't even tell the difference in clothes! I was really annoyed the other day when somehow I had let a WHOLE dryer sheet slip into a load of laundry that was drying! haha! Seriously, though, it bugged me.

I am so excited to have a day to go school and birthday shopping tomorrow at the outlets in Williamsburg! I'm going with Debbie, Trisha, and Vanessa. I am going to get set up with a few more things I need before this baby girl gets here too. Should be fun...I will be gone ALL day!! woot! So today I am preparing the house for when I am gone. I'm baking cookies for the boys and Jeremy tomorrow. And early in the morning I will put some good food in the crock pot so they at least have one meal that isn't frozen pizza!

I swear that if they just ruined all the stacks of clothes I folded, I'm gonna lose it!!! I think I have a disaster on my hands in the other room. I shouldn't blog until the middle of the night!

Swimming Lessons 2010

This is Asher on the board on the last day of lessons. I wish I had the video of him going off the board....he finally went off the board and didn't realize that he was going to go under the water! He came up (the lifeguard was in the water waiting to catch him) looking VERY surprised! Then he was so excited that he had went under that he wanted to do it again!

Liam was in Level 1 this year....his has learned to get all but the tip top of his head underwater!

Asher was in IPAP level this year, which is entry level.....learning to get used to the water and using your arms and legs and what not.

Tristan is in level 4 and is diving off the diving board and doing a plethora of different strokes and other stuff.

Cedric was in level 2 and learned to go underwater for extended periods of time, back float, and jumping off the diving board.

Liam will get his mouth, nose, and eyes all under the water....only leaving the top of his head out.

I was going to do another two week session with the boys but I about died doing the first one. What with all the heat advisories and what not. I can't hack being pregnant in the summer. I don't know why I keep doing it. OY! Next year maybe we will do all three sessions....and I can have Cullen in and have a mommy and me class with baby girl. That would be fun!

Trisha's Baby Shower

On July 18 we had a baby shower for Jeremy's sister, Trisha. The theme was "King of the Jungle". It was so much fun to be able to do this for her! It's her first baby and it's been exciting to share this experience with her. So, a ton of people showed up and she got presents galore!

The "measure the belly" game.

The Grandparents

I decided that I would make a diaper cake. This is the end result. It was a lot of fun to do!

So her baby is due in the middle of October. Can't wait to meet him! Hopefully he and this little girl of ours will be great friends! :)

What A Bunch of Wierdos

Liam came out on the deck and asked it he looked cool.....OF COURSE HE DOES! Then he asked to have his picture taken. He loves having his picture taken and he loves taking pictures too. Asher had to join in of course which made Liam down right mad. You can't tell in the pic but Liam's hat is a coon skin Davey Crockett hat.

On another note...I was supposed to have a weekly checkup with my baby doctor yesterday. I think he has it out for me.....or the scheduling department does. It's not until next wednesday. Crap. It's stinking hot out and a heat advisory is out almost every day. We have been running the air conditioning like mad and yesterday we got the bill that will probably put me in my grave....over $350 for one month of electricity!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH?!?!?!?!!? Never in my life.......ugh. so today I have been the electric nazi. Not gonna run the pool filter as much either. I gotta get this baby out....I can't stand being hot when I'm pregnant. I think I'm getting dehydrated somehow....

I have much to post about but no time to do it in....trying to catch up a little today. I cleaned my back porch off today and am in the process of trying to decorate it. Decorate it for what I don't know, it's just something I feel the need to do. I get these crazy notions during the "nesting" time period. Notions like pulling the oven out and scrubbing the floor underneath.....notions like taking all the knobs off my cabinets and cleaning them only to realize that cleaning them won't help, the knobs are just plain ugly.......notions like ripping all the curtains down washing them, then struggling on a wobbly chair to put the stupid things back up...........notions like dumping all the toys in the garbage. You get the picture.

School registration is on Monday. I haven't even made the stupid dental, doctor, and eye appointments for the kids. I'm too pregnant for all this. Oh how I wish school wasn't starting yet. As you can see from this post, I can't really think straight right now. We also have three birthdays and a reunion in the next two weeks. Fun stuff. For real.

Taylor's Birthday

Cristella and Mason Boyer...they're so funny!

Baby Daxton and Grandma Trapp

On July 10th it was Taylor's Birthday! We all went to Quincy to Sue and Todd's house to celebrate. Jeremy and Cullen stayed home because they were both tired. It was fun! Good times were had by all. Joanne and Vicki made another great cake for Taylor! We got to visit and relax. My brother, David and his wife Sherri, are all moved into their house in Quincy. It's going to be great getting to know him better. He's my second oldest brother and was long gone from home by the time I was born.

The Heat is Getting to Me.......

I've been meaning to put a link up to
Joanne's Cake Blog.
Today I did it. There is a link to it on my sidebar or click on the hyperlink above. Check it out!!! She does some amazing stuff!

In other news today was blistering hot and I am feeling it even in the house. There is a heat advisory out and the heat index is at 110 degrees. That's just ridiculous. I am swelling up like a balloon. I have some more pics and stuff to blog about but I'm too lazy to find my camera right now to load the pics. I think my family is going to be living on breakfast food until this baby is born. Which is fine because it is easy and cheap. Although my boys go through an eighteen count carton of eggs at one meal. They all love eggs. I think that is what we will do tonight again.

We started swim lessons in Hamilton this week and the boys are having a blast! I will post some pics next week when they start going off the board and what not. Today I almost died waiting at the picnic tables for them to get done.

What else can I ramble about???? Cullen loves to break my sunglasses and has ruined about 4 or 5 pairs so far this summer. He's a sneaky little guy.

Fourth of July

Cedric with a sparkler.
We ended up going to watch our town Independence Day parade during the day and having a bonfire and fireworks in the evening. The Yu's (Nikki and Kenny) came over at dusk and between the two families we had a buttload of fireworks. Jeremy and I had made a trip to Missouri the day before and the Yu's had just come from Missouri. We also watched the town firework display for a little bit...since we could see most of it from our yard but just decided to light our own instead. the boys had a blast....I think I went off the deep end!

Miss Giana Yu....she sat with her ears covered most of the time!

Cullen with another stolen drink....it's just what he does.

The firepit that Jeremy and I built on our anniversary. There are a few small gaps here and there but dang it, we rebuilt three times! The first row was 25 stones, the second row was 24 and three quarters......what are we supposed to do with that kinda nonsense?!?!!? Then the third row was a tiny bit smaller....anyway you get the idea. This is the end product. And it's huge!

The boys at the parade.

So happy that we live in the country that we do! I love it! And our freedoms!

A Cookout at Josh and Trisha's

A couple of Sundays ago we had a family cookout at Trisha and Josh's house. The boys swam and Cedric taught himself to go underwater!!! woot! I was so proud! He just finally decided to do it I guess....he was pretty pleased with himself too! And rightly so.
Tristan pulling a sneak attack on Grandpa Kelley.

Cullen has a thing for stealing drinks. Any kind, any how. He will steal bottled drinks too and open them with his teeth. He's crazy! Anyway, we all had a good time that day.
