Remebering 9/11
I remember every minute of that day and what I was doing and where I was at. I was at our first house in Carthage about a month or so after we had moved back from Salt Lake. Tristan was just barely a month old and I had just made breakfast for him and was putting him in his high chair when my sister Susan called me from her salon and told me to turn on the news. Scary, scary stuff! I immediately said some prayers and wished I could talk to Jeremy. We didn't have cell phones at the time and he was at school at Western Illinois University in Macomb. He heard about it there on campus. I remember the gas stations being packed and the price of gas skyrocketing. It was an awful day but united the country in a way I had never seen.
