Caramel Marshmellow Popcorn

 Another sweet pinterest find!
  WARNING: THIS STUFF IS ADDICTIVE!
I made mine on the stove but the original recipe used the microwave.

The pic below is from the original pin.
I forgot to take a finished product pic and we ate it too quickly before I remembered!

RECIPE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
 1/2 c. butter
 9-10 marshmallows
 12 c. popcorn....I didn't measure....I just used a bag and a half of microwave popcorn.

Microwave brown sugar and butter for 2 minutes. Add marshmallows. Microwave until melted, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Pour over popcorn.

Sarah and Matt's Wedding Reception

On Saturday evening we had Sarah and Matt's wedding reception to go to!  It was SO much fun!!  I had to miss the cake cutting because I forgot that I had left lil' smokies cooking at Sarah's house! I was sure I was burning the house down, so Cedric and I took off like a jet across that Keokuk bridge and got them out in time! Thank goodness!  lol!
The reception was at the Baymont Inn and Suites.

Their first dance as man and wife!

 Father/Daughter dance

Eden walked out there while Dan and Sarah were dancing and kept taking the purple napkins and trying to tie it around herself.  Or put it over her head and bump into things.

Cedric at the food table.....we had pulled pork, beef brisket, rolls, au gratin potatoes, and green beans.

Maci is Matt's brother's little girl.  She liked to wiggle her booty!  It was stinking cute!
Cullen couldn't wait to start dancing!!  He danced with Maci and kept trying to put his arms around her!  He was such a doll!

He also danced with his little sister...and me...and Sarah (I think) and my mom!

Eden really like the lights....a lot!

They love each other!  They are so cute!

Cedric loves to dress up as we all know! he had to wear his new tuxedo shirt and put a new pinstriped suit jacket on top of it!  Also, he had on some pretty stylin' shoes....that he wasn't for sure or not if they were dancing shoes, lol!!

My mom and Asher dancing!  Asher kept twirling her!  He was so stinking cute the whole night too!  All the boys really surprised me by wanting to dance their brains out!! I was in heaven, for real!!  They all took turns dancing with me....except Tristan (who had a migraine again) and Liam (who showed us all how to break dance!!).

All tuckered out!

Watching the lights again.

Asher kept wanting to ask Sarah to dance but then chickening out.  He took me aside and said that he thought everyone was going to laugh at him.  I assured him that no one would laugh at him and that Sarah would love to dance with him!  Finally he danced with her and he was SO happy.  Couldn't wipe the smile off his face.  Later he was dancing with me and saw Matt step away from the dance floor (and Sarah) for a minute and he left me standing there and made a beeline to Sarah!! He danced with her again!

When we first got there Cullen kept wanting to dance.  He would run across the floor and slide on his knees.  Then for Sarah and Matt's first dance he said: "Mom, Sarah is dancing with that man over there!"  Clearly he was annoyed that Sarah was not dancing with him!

I have lots of video of Liam breakdancing!  It was AWESOME!  I'm glad he cut loose and had a good time too!

The boys loved the punch fountain.
They were pretty much fixtures there the entire evening.

Dang it.  I wish I had caught a better picture of Cedric.
He was some hot stuff on the dance floor too!

Liam took the camera for awhile and got some good shots for me!  He needs a camera of his own.  Maybe I will give him mine when I finally get my digital SLR.

Sarah and Matt

We were bummed we couldn't make it to the actual wedding.  When we saw the 5 minute wedding video preview, we knew then why it cost so much! lol!
It. Is. Amazing.
It seriously looks like they had some hollywood production crew come in to film it!
We are so happy Sarah and Matt are married and loving life!  Congratulations!!

Dirty Dishes...this should be thrilling!

Lately Cullen is REALLY into doing the dishes.  Mostly he likes to take my bottle brush and swish it around.  I do so many loads of dishes a day that I cannot humor him every single time and find myself trying to "secretly" do the dishes sometimes! lol! I DO enjoy the time doing dishes with him and having fun but sometimes something just needs to get done already!  The other day Jeremy offered to do the dishes (a rare occurrence!) and Cullen wanted to help.  Aren't they cute?  Yep, I know.

News From Eden

There is something strange going on with the little lady.  She seems to like putting things in her nose!!  What the heck!?!?  Anything small will do.  We have dug corn, raisans, beads, legos, popcorn, peas, tiny guns out of her nose!!  I am worried that something is going to get stuck in there for real because sometimes it is really difficult to get out!  I usually have to hold one side of her nose shut and make her blow through the other side.  She seems to be getting braver and braver in what she will stick up there! lol!  Crazy girl!!

Also, so you know the old adage that you measure your two year old and then double it for their adult height?  Well so we just did that for Eden this morning and she is 37-38 inches....she wouldn't actually stand still for us, so we had to guess a bit.  Double that and it is somewhere between 74-76 inches!!!  Holy tall girl, Batman!!  That is 6 foot, 2-4 inches!!!!  Are you kidding me?!?!!?  She will be taller than all of us at that rate....even Jeremy!!  She does have really long legs.....even before I had her the ultra sound techs commented on how long her legs were.  I remember when we calculated Tristan's adult height when he was two it came out to like five feet, 5-6 inches I think! lol!  I wonder how just how tall all of them really will end up being.........
