The Zombie Apocolypse
A week or so ago Jeremy and I had to drive to Des Moines, Iowa to get a copy of his birth certificate. He needs it to get his passport to go to Canada for Sarah and Matt's wedding. He was a last minute groomsmen replacement. We have been putting it off because it meant taking a whole day off of work and he has been super busy as of late. The drive there was awful to say the least. It was storming....something that hasn't happened in these parts for awhile! and we encountered all sorts of crazy along the way. First there were three windmill blades on three extra long, over-sized semis, that had all kinds of traffic backed up wherever they went. Then there was some kind of wreck on I-80 that shut the whole freeway down!!! It must have been a horrific accident.....There was a helicopter and traffic backed up for hours....and miles and miles! AGh! Anyway, by the time we got there and got all the darn birth certificate info sorted out we were starving. Jeremy looked up a place to eat that was close to the court house. And the coolest restaurant ever popped up!! It is called Zombie Burger and Drink Lab. Click on the link to see more! But, it is right up our alley! The food was A-MAZING! The atmosphere was perfect...our server was spot on! We left stuffed!! The menu was all themed....I had the 28 Days Later Burger....and Jeremy had the Undead Elvis. On his burger was a fried egg, fried bananas, peanut butter, and something else I think.....sounds crazy, but......it was delectable!!! My burger was awesome too....It had blue cheese and caramelized onions. Then we had the Zombie Poutine....and I had a Zombie Bride for my drink. Anyway, that was the only good part of the day. The rest was a pain in the butt!
