When we got there Friday evening we met Sam and Joyce at Beavers for dinner. We thought we were going to be staying at Sam's weekend home but, he let us stay in his condos at The Towers instead. It was pretty sweet, 3 bedroom, two bath, everything else...the pic above shows half of the balcony...the other side had another table with four chairs too. The pool was right below us too, as well as the lake (obviously, lol).
Saturday morning we woke up and got ready to head over to Sam's house to hit the jet skis!! We ate breakfast first and got to the house about 9:30 or so. We were trying to hit the water while it was still flat and calm. We lucked out pretty good. We also swam off the dock at Sam's house. It was very relaxing and a ton of fun! I made Tristan get into the water with a life jacket and he begged and begged to take it off. He does have a crap ton of swimming lessons in him and all but, I am a paranoid mom. I worry about EVERYTHING! Finally I let him take it off since he was swimming with a floatie anyway. But, we all wore them on the jet skis....now way around that, PERIOD.
Relaxing by the lake.
We took the boys down to the strip. Again, I did not take enough pictures! lol! The boys played in the Dogpatch arcade for awhile. Jeremy and I hit Frick and Frack. I wanted pretty much every headwrap ( I bought two though) that they had but realized that I could make them way cheaper myself. Now just to get my sewing machine fixed. We went to the Ice Cream shop and got the boys some ice cream. Then we took the to Joann Fabrics to get them some modeling clay to make they little clay figures and armies. They are both actually really good at sculpting. It kinda amazes me actually. But, we had to get the Primo clay and not just your regular dough. Oh no. The we went to Lazer force laser tag. All four of us played. It was so freaking awesome! We had a blast!! By then it was early evening and we told the boys we were going back to the condos. They went to the pool while Jeremy and I kicked back and watched them from the balcony. We ordered a pizza from Papa John's and snacked on chips, Bandana's leftovers, candy corn and pumpkins. I was a very relaxing end to the mini-vacation. Jeremy and I took a walk along the lake. The weather was just right. Happy Birthday to Jeremy and Tristan!!! I love those two!
We had some good laughs in the tiny, ancient looking kids helicopter ride. It had not tail end, no propellers...nothing!! Tristan and Will both had to stick a quarter in and ride in it! I got some good video of it too! blackmail material for later in life for sure! haha! So much fun!
