For the last three years we have had a birthday tradition in our house. It is called the Birthday Cupcake. It is a tradition that I love because most times we celebrate their birthdays on a different day and this helps make the actual birthday day a little more special. The cupcake is a ceramic sprinkle covered cupcake that is a little container. The top of the cupcake comes off. On their birthday mornings I usually make them a birthday breakfast and give them the birthday cupcake with it. Inside is a little something gift from mom and dad. It can be anything. When Asher opened his, he found a note that said he had to search for a special gift in the coat closet. He was SO excited when he found a giant dry erase board for his room! He has been after me to get him once since I put mine up by the computer. He got his own set of markers to go with it. He and Cullen sat and colored and erased for a long while. He was happy. That makes me happy. :)
