I started making a list of things that Eden says because the pediatrician said she should be saying over 300 words by now. She said this back in November when Eden still had her pacifier and wasn't talking a whole lot. Since Eden threw her pacifier out we have heard her talk to us ALL the time so I started the list to see if she was talking enough. Oh my goodness, she blows the list out of the water! She pretty much knows all the words to every single Frozen song (something I would love to catch on video), can tell us (mostly) what she wants and needs, and jabbers to herself all the time too! She makes me so proud! She does talk with an accent or an impediment so some people don't understand her all the time but, we understand what she is saying(most of the time). I am not worried anymore about her ability to speak since she pretty much doesn't stop talking from the time shes wakes up until she goes to sleep, lol!
I do enjoy my days with just her and I right now. I'm glad we get this time together before the baby comes. Yesterday she came up to me and asked for a hug. Then she asked to sit on the couch with me and of course I had to because she was being so sweet. She just wanted to snuggle with me on the couch and get rubbed! :) What is cute is that she will rub me back too. She also sat incredibly still yesterday while I pulled her her hair into a pony tail! She usually wiggles and whines because she doesn't want her hair done. I almost decided to do something other than a ponytail but decided not to push it.
She knows most all of her colors and can count to ten and we are working on shapes. I am trying to work on things that I know they screen for at pre-school screening. (It helps to have had a zillion kids go through pre-school already, haha!) She loves putting together puzzles and building with blocks. One of her favorite shows right now is Blues Clues (Jeremy downloaded all the seasons) and we watch them. I wish Blues Clues was still on. It as a great show that taught lots of things. Her favorite episode is the Alphabet Train. Joe builds a train out of boxes with a letter on each box. She is gonna have her ABC's down pat next, lol! Preschool screening is beginning of April. One of the things they test is motor skills and have them jump, catch a ball, walk a balance beam etc. She does all these things excellently! She can catch a ball when she isn't even looking at it. It is pretty incredible really.
She loves to dance too! It is the sweetest thing ever and totally makes me day when she sings and dances with me. If I turn on Youtube, she will totally stop what she is doing and come sing and dance with me. Ahhh, it is wonderful! I cannot wait to have TWO little girls to hang out with! This pregnancy was not in my plans at all but, darn it, I couldn't be more excited!! The closer and closer it gets, the more excited I get!
