So, this summer is weird. It is strange not taking the kids to swimming lessons at the Hamilton Pool. The only session left had only the 9:00am class open. UGH. I had resigned myself to doing it and Jeremy said that he would come in the mornings to help me. (One of the perks of not having a boss....choosing your own damn schedule/not asking off for work/last minute changes/etc.) We set the alarm for 6:00am on Monday. We awoke to a thunderstorm. It was actually a huge clap of thunder that woke me up, not the alarm, lol. The rain was pouring. We all got showered and dressed just hoping that the rain would end. It would also be informative if the swimming pool would maybe send out phone/email blast to all participants to let you know if it is going to happen in the rain or not. Then, I started telling Jeremy how the freaking swimming pool doesn't even keep records of the levels that the kids are at each year. What is the point of even going if no one is keeping track of everything. My kids have been going every single year. You would think that someone would keep track of that so that they don't put the kids in the same class every year, like they do to mine. Ugh. He was annoyed that they weren't keeping track too and decided to start calling around to the different places to see how swimming lessons worked elsewhere. We both decided after a few phone calls that we would skip Monday because of the rain and talk more about it Monday night. We talked that night and decided to just do a family membership to the YMCA. Everyone could benefit then. The classes are at better times and they keep track. The only downside is not getting to go with Trisha and Vanessa but, we don't get to picnic afterwards anyway because of the 9:00 class time. And an upside is that Tristan won't miss any of it. YAY!
I just picked Tristan up today from week long trip out west with my brother Sam, William, and my mom! I am going to have him blog about it because he was full of stories!!! So happy for him. He has a very busy summer!
Cullen got stung by a bee yesterday and hasn't shut up about it since. I know it hurts. Poor thing.
