I read the Flylady book. It was very inspiring. She says in the book that you are not cleaning, you are blessing your home. That really stuck with me more than anything.
Also- the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon was my favorite! I wonder if Amazon sells it on DVD? I looked for it once, but never found it.
Another also- I hate money pits! Our friends got foreclosed on when they had one of those because they had to take out a second mortgage for all the repairs.
I'm sorry your house is sucking up all your money :( For us, buying a house was way cheaper than renting. We did buy a house in a working class town, and we have a friend who knows how to fix everything and always helps us out though. The biggest thing we have actually had to buy was a refrigerator. Would you have to buy that in a rental though? I suppose we could also take it with us if we ever leave.
