Catching Up

A lot of catching up to do.....Father's Day came and went as it does.  I really don't like it anymore.  I got Jeremy a pair of running shoes.  And we had a yummy supper the night before with catfish, tilapia, sweet potatoes, veggie shish kabobs on the grill.  I am extremely grateful that I chose a partner in life that is such a good father.  He works hard and does a good job of it!  I don't know many men that would take on the job of single-handedly providing for a wife and 6 children ALL BY HIMSELF!  He makes it possible for the kids to have their mother at home for them.  What an AWESOME guy!!  And what makes it better is that I know how impressed my Dad was with Jeremy as well.  I remember them having a good talk about all that stuff when we lived in Utah.  It was at Tristan's baby blessing.  My Dad stressed how important he felt is was for a mother to be at home and provide the spiritual and emotional foundations for the family.  (Which I try to do but, feel like I fail miserably all the time!)  But, my Dad told Jeremy how much the whole Trapp family loved him, how good of a man he felt that Jeremy is, and what a great addition to the family he was.  It was a good moment and a good memory! :)

We made it over to Jeremy's parents house for a yummy supper. We don't get to hang out with the Kelley fam as much as we used to when we lived in Nauvoo. So, it was a good time!   I got to go out to my Dad's grave but only for a few minutes because the cemetary needs to spray for bugs.  I couldn't even stand there because they were crawling up my legs and hopping all over.  Dumb.  Usually I can sit and hang out for a bit.  A month ago, I took a little green bookworm to put on his grave.  It is still there thank goodness.  Things in cemetaries don't usually make it too long.

She is so full of personality and spunk!!! I love it!!  Definitely a chip of the block!

Here are some random snapshots of two of our kids.  Just thought I would add some visuals! lol!  Not sure what the heck Cedric is doing...I think he was sucking in in preparation for a smile and I took the pic too early!  I'm pretty dang sure that our kids love the heck out of Jeremy, just like me!  What a super duper guy!  I don't know what I would do without him!

Lately we have all been playing Boom Blocks as a family on the Wii.  It is really fun and something that everyone can play.  We can play 4 of us at a time and rotate around.  And you can turn it into all kinds of different ways to play!!  Fun time!

Wow, thanks honey. I might just be blushing a bit. But in all seriousness, you are the one who has to put up with these kids day in and day out. You are a champion among women. They should build monuments in your honor and sing ballads of your trials. Remember I said this was in all seriousness, so get to building people.
