Happenings

My goal for this week is to get the Christmas posts done and out of the way.  My goal in my house is to get the damn tree down.  I know, I know.  *sigh* I can't believe it either.  The thing is, all the Christmas decorations are down.  Heck the tree is even UN-decorated with only a couple strands of lights left on it.  For some reason it has been the bane of my existence this year and I have been punishing it by letting it sit in the corner.  Today that will all be done.  I really just want to drag it out to the burn pile and light it up!  LOL!  Not really, it is a great tree.  Big, and perfect.  But, I am so tired of the process it is to put up and down every year.  If I wasn't a light perfectionist, it woulsn't be so bad but, putting the lights on the tree takes me FOREVER and involves at least 7 strands of 200 lights each.  I want a pre-lit tree but, those kind don't have enough lights to suit my style.  I think next year we will do a real tree.  Yep.  It is decided.

Tristan has joined a group of highschool performers!!! I am so excited and proud of him!  He loves to sing, I hear him doing it all the time!  Grandma Trapp got him the Les Miserables soundtrack for Christmas and he loves it!  So anyway, he joined Center Stage Music performers and he is on the Elite Team.  The Elite Team travels all over the country and performs!  Last year they went to Vegas and New York City among other places!  He is SO excited! This June he will be performing at Navy Pier in Chicago!! I LOVE it!! He came home the first night of practice and was just talking a mile a minute about everything.  He and I started talking all about Broadway and our favorite show tunes.  I am hoping this can be something that we can share together and talk about more!

Cedric has been the basketball team Manager this year at school.  He gets to film all the basketball games and travel on the bus with them too.  He really seemed to like it and I am proud that he volunteered for it.

I bought a Fitbit online and now I am waiting for it to get here.  I am hoping that it will help motivate me and be a tool that is useful and not a huge waste of money!  lol!
