A Trapp Family Easter 2013

To start off this Easter post let me just say....Blogger, you are an idiot!!  A big fat one!  I am so sick and tired of the whole picture upload process....what the holy heck!?!?  These were all loaded in perfect order and (as I have complained in the past) when I click on them to upload they all upload in some wackadoodle fashion that makes absolutely NO sense!! Gah!!  Why do you vex me so, Blogger?!!? Why???  Why must my pictures always be out of order?  Why can't you fix your stupid problem??  UGH!

Okay, now that my rant is out of the way, I will just go with this out of order post.  We tried getting all the younger grandkids and the great grandkids to sit on the back steps for a picture.  Well that is useless as it tends to be!  I just got a bunch of random shots of the chaos.

Grandma Trapp was all ready for a HUGE egg hunt for the kiddies.  Here is Sam, Mark, Libby, and the back of Liam.  These are my two lawyer brothers.  I always see a lot of my Dad in my brothers and I love that!

Eden just ran amuck the whole time.  She's such a stinker.

Yep, see here she is sprinting towards Connable Road at the beginning of the egg hunt. Luckily her daddy chased her down while I watched and took pictures, haha!

Cullen and Ethan hunting for those eggs!

Mark and Libby again

Grandma Trapp and Cullen looking for his BIG egg.  For the egg hunt each year, my mom does a TON off eggs.  There is candy and coins in the little eggs.  Each kid was supposed to get like 32 eggs I think. Then she does one BIG egg for each kid (that has their name on it) that has a prize, candy,  and a Dollar Bill!

Cullen and Daxton. I love, love, loved how good the kids were on Easter.  They got along great and had a super duper time hanging out with a lot of their cousins.

******little side tangent**** I love seeing my kids interact with other kids that are actually nice to them and "get" them, lol!  They all share a lot of the same interests and hobbies. Or see them around adults that aren't cringing every time one of the kids scream or come running through the house.  I have found myself missing the loudness of my house if the kids are gone.  I love the LOUD, crazy chaos of people and personalities mixing and helping each other learn and grow.  I never knew I liked it much less loved it. Lol!  But, when I think back on my childhood one of the things that I was most proud of was my LARGE family and how wacky/diverse/fun/loud/kind we all were.  It was so fun!!  ******

This pic cracks (egg humor) me up every time I see it!  I don't know what he was doing but, he looks so confused.  Poor thing.  Acting like he's never seen an Easter egg before!

Trying to get my family to take pictures is actually a very easy thing.  We just hardly ever get and "real" pics because we are all always joking or being silly to get one!

Me: "Look grown-up and married."
This is what I get!
LMAO!!!

I love him!  Cedric is one of the six coolest kids I know!

So, the Saturday before Easter we started the morning out with the whole Trapp fam going the Pancake Breakfast and Egg Hunt at the Fire Station in Nauvoo.  It was a really good egg hunt as far as community egg hunts go.  Then we all kinda grouped off and did different things for the next few hours.  Some people went to my Dad's grave, some went touring, some went uptown, some went shopping, some went home to cook!  I was late with the mashed potatoes but, whatever!!  We ate an awesome meal, hung out, played, talked, laughed, colored eggs, hunted for eggs, and all that.  I was all that and a bowl of eggs!

Libby, David, Susan, Dax, Leslie

Will, Nicci, and Alina

Alina and Cullen loved playing with each other!!
There were really cute and kept hiding under the food table!

These girls had the right idea....they all disappeared and this is where we found them...in the hot tub, music playing, giggling and chatting!! So girly!! Love it~!

They had to do a thumbs up picture too!

Don't ask me what the heck Cully is doing here!?!?
The goof wouldn't stop it though.

Despite all the noise and commotion that we provided, we still weren't entertaining enough for Tired Todd!!  He snoozed like that for quite some time!!

Ethan playing with the cars.
