Swimming Is Great
I found this when going through stuff again. This is from St. Patty's Day last year (when Asher was in Kindergarten). I love that he wrote, "I feel lucky when I swim." Asher has always loved the water and swimming. I don't know what it is about swimming that just clicks form him. He is relaxed and at ease. And he is a quick learner!

Debbie's Birthday
Trisha texted me at the butt crack of dawn (luckily I was awake because it was the same night as Eden waking me up and me checking out the flooding) one morning. She was going to have a birthday dinner for her mom that evening at her house. Okay! I said I would bring some apple bacon coleslaw that I saw on pinterest.
I had to keep this picture. I love it!! Debbie is looking at me like I'm nuts or something! Bahahahahahaha!
Happy Birthday, Debbie!
We had some pulled pork, cole slaw, rice, other things I can't remember. Sheesh.
Debbie and her kids.
I'm Sure This Is Funny To Someone Somewhere In The World
Here's a fun story:
So, two days ago, I was home with the babies of course. And there was a knock at the door...only an insistent knock, like the kind Jeremy does when in a rush. I quickly ran to the door and threw it open wide only to find the FedEx man there instead. He said he was sorry that he couldn't leave the w00tPC package in the closet at work because his supervisor was with him and yada yada yada. I stood their smiling big and chattin' it up. Saying, it's okay, how's the weather, etc. It was only just as the door latched shut after he left that I realized, as a dreaded feeling washed over my whole body, that I had totally just had that entire conversation with him WITHOUT my retainer in!!~!!!!! Bloody Hell!!!! I nearly died of embarrassment. I called Jeremy and he laughed and laughed! I have got to get the dang implant. SMH.

The Creek
One night last week about 3am Eden had me up for the night. It was storming pretty good so I wanted to check out our creek since there were other places flooding badly. So picture me stumbling out the back door in my red fluffy bathroom, with Jeremy's too big skechers on, huge camera in hand with a towel over the top of it, sloshing through the yard in a storm. I realized when I started getting closer to the creek that even though I wasn't to the actual water line, that I could feel water puddling up over the tops of the shoes as I was walking! Then I realized I had no idea where the water line really was because it was so dark out. I snapped a picture so I could tell and had to look in the camera view screen to see where I was stepping. You can't really see in the dark pictures too well but, it was way past it's banks and level with the grass so that had to be about 6-7 feet deep at least. I think. And boy was the sound of it rushing by eve loud. It has flooded worse than this though. I just don't like all the debris it leaves behind when it floods. Although after a storm, we usually have plenty of wood for a fire in the fire pit.
This tree bit the dust I guess.....or bit the water?
This is what makes us nervous about adding on to our house as well. But, I LOVE the creek and trees in our yard. We do have a nice, big yard, especially for in town. But, if we add on in either direction, we are closer to the creek. And flood insurance....sheesh.
Snuggles
If we sit down, we are both sure to be covered in little people in no time. I'm pretty sure that is where all my mysterious bruises come from, lol! And I think our furniture suffers too but, I don't care in the slightest.
Eden had been snuggling and fallen asleep next to Jeremy. I tried to get a picture but, I swear, that girl has a radar for when I try to get a pic of her! She woke up just as I was snapping the pic, haha!
Cullen is number one!
This guy is getting big! And so smart.
Watching Brave for the gazillionth time.
Rubbing Eden's head. All my kiddies love being rubbed.
And a word of advice. Strangely, snuggling with a full bottle of Gatorade is not a very good idea. Just so ya know!
Side note: Cullen calls Gatorade, Alligator. Flippin' awesome!
Our babies. They will never be this small again.
No Dreams For You
Tangled is on in the background as we are all about the house. Jeremy was sitting at the computer doing some work. I am in the kitchen cooking supper. Kids are about. One of the lyrics in the song on Tangled says " I have a dream." Cullen loves to sing along and recite the whole movie (any movie) word for word. Anyway, Jeremy just was being silly and says "I have a dream" when the song sang it.....and Cullen was singing it too. Apparently Cullen didn't want Jeremy singing along because he screamed "Stop it, Dad! You don't have a dream!!"
I nearly busted a gut in the kitchen. I love the things that come out of his mouth!!
Probably had to be there but, it was the highlight of my day yesterday.

Swing Set
Today I am doing research for a swing set purchase. I can't decide what to do(what's new??). We told the kids they could get a swing set this year. The problem is we were thinking about listing our house. But, I think we are going to get one anyway because who knows when or if the listing will even happen.
I really want someone to come build it for us since we will never get it built otherwise. Gotta pay extra for that though, lol! And just how big and crazy do we get??? Will the kids really play on it enough to justify all the bells and whistles? Or do we get a cheap piece of junk and then have them complain that it isn't fun enough? Hmmmmm.......
I have found a few I like already. Amazon will deliver to my doorstep but they don't send builders.....

First Rule of Fight Club
I'm gonna start a Ladies Club. I will call it Fight Club because it sounds more bad*ss. We will meet on Thursday nights for our weekly meeting with slumber parties once a month a locations TBA. Still coming up with our uniform but it will involve a hat for sure. Maybe some camo so that we can leave the house without our families noticing.

Memory Books
Everyone knows that I print my blog into books called the Kelley Family Journals. It's for posterity. But, I also use my laminator like a lunatic ALL the time! Each kid has a binder or two that is chock full of their memories. I laminate awards they get at school, birthday cards, projects, etc. that they have done. They all love looking through the things they have done in the past. And I love that they love it!
I have been going through boxes that were stored in closets and in the garage and boy, oh, boy is there a lot of stuff! I loved seeing some of the stuff that the bigger boys did when they were in Pre-K and stuff. It's so cute! I miss them being that age.
All these things are laminated or printed up. And I still have more to do. I am not one of those people that can just make a quick decision or not get sidetracked when I start projects. I know that I could be diagnosed with adult ADHD but, who wants to do that!? So, instead, I will do things the way I do them and be happy with that.

Messy Lady
This is where the Milk Duds come into play. She went from playing with the pirate ship so nice and quiet to covering herself in chocolate. But, I don't blame her! Chocolate and caramel=YUMMY!
Random Nonsense
Eden played quietly with this pirate ship for a long time.
Take note of the little carton of milk duds sitting on the upside down laundry basket.
Those will come into play later on.......
Cullen was playing a video game and I took a picture of him. It did not make him happy.
Then he hid behind the ottoman and cried.
Cedric hard at work building lego hero factory guys.
Eden loves to climb on top of Ced and Liam's bunk beds and jump around. Then she likes to jump from the top bunk to the top of Cedric's dresser. Another fun pastime is trying to catch the ceiling fan from the top bunk. She fell from the top bunk one day and it scared the crap outta everyone. But, it hasn't stopped her. What to do, what to do?
I found Liam eating in my bed. They all say that they never eat in my bed. Now I have proof.....especially when I try to crawl in bed at night and find crumbs or wet spots all over.

Doodley-Doot-Dee-Doo
Okay, so things that are going on here at the Kelley household.....actually it is just a list of random things my brain has thought about during the day today.....
- Cedric and I are reading the same series right now. We had gotten him Divergent for Valentine's Day. I read it and loved it! Also found out that there will be a movie coming out relatively soon-ish....sweet! I got done with Divergent before Cedric and ordered Insurgent, which is book 2 in the series. I finished it yesterday and now have to wait until August for the next book to come out which seems so long away. Cedric finished Divergent yesterday and is starting Insurgent today.
- Liam, Asher, and I have been playing a game on Facebook called Dragon City. You get to breed and raise Dragons while building them habitats. You also fight your dragons to earn gold and raise their rank. Anyway, it's fun because we get to do it together and have to help each other out so we can advance in the game.
- I am sick and tired of everything while simultaneously thoroughly loving my life and all our incredible blessings right now. Is that weird? LOL, yes, it is. I don't know what I am feeling. We have many, many good things that are going right in our life. But, there is always something to worry about......
- Cedric wants to play Blueboy baseball now. Liam and Asher have Spring concerts coming up.
- We are re-thinking life, the universe, and everything.
- I have been in a cooking funk. Jeremy thinks it was my freezer crock pot meals that ruined me. I think it is ordering food in all the time that ruined me! lol! Either way, I have been slacking on the cooking department. Anyway, so last night we had an AMAZING dinner that everyone loved. The whole family was here and Jeremy finally added the two extra leaves to our dining room table so we could all fit.....and then some! It is LLOOOOONNNGGGG!
- We have a squirrel family that lives in one of our trees. I was stalking them last night because one has the tiniest tail that I have ever seen. I think it's anew kind of squirrel. Like a squirrel mixed with a chipmunk. Or a cat.
- Today is really bad for me. I'm going to officially call it Paragard Brain. I had a friend post on facebook the other day about the nightmare that she is going through with her paragard. I honestly thought it was the safest form of birth control for my body. I was wrong. It does horrible things to people...as all birth control does. Our bodies were not made for birth control. That's why our brains were designed for self control, lol. But, for reals.
- The other day I cleaned a lot of the debris from the creek flooding out of my yard. I love being outside in the Spring. My favorite time of year!
- My brother is still missing. This is troublesome and heartbreaking. Everyone please keep him in your prayers. And all the family really. We all need it.
- Today I have not changed out of my pajamas. In fact, I am sitting here in my bathrobe dreading the thought of making supper. Or doing anything really. I wish I had a robot to do the things that I don't want to do. Like making phone calls for instance. Or the laundry. Or wiping butts.
Easter Morning
Tristan and Liam wanted to stay at my mom's house with their cousins the night before Easter. So, they didn't get to hunt for their baskets in the morning, we had to take them to them. But, the others were up around 3:30am looking for their baskets!! lol! The boys got the Skylanders Portal (the device that hooks up to the wii or the playstation) and then each boy got a Skylander in their basket as well. They were pretty stoked as you can tell!
We had to make biscuits and get everyone ready and loaded and to Jeremy's parent's house so we couldn't really get our own egg hunt in. Which is fine. Every year I let the kids play Easter bunny with all the leftover candy, money, toys, and eggs. They love it!! We had so many egg hunts in the days after Easter it was ridiculous!! Asher and Cedric were the ones playing the bunny most of the time and the rest hunted.
Eden didn't know what to think about her basket! She wanted to play with all the eggs right away though and gleefully started wacking them on the table. She got cool stuff in her basket too!
We had to stop at my mom's house to get Tristan and Liam. Mark's family was there getting ready for church. I had to get a pic of the girls all looking pretty in their Easter dresses! Aren't they just beautiful!!

Can't do anything without legos.
