Kelley Family Easter 2011

Eden McFroo as a bunny.

Josh and Chase

Aunt Vanessa got Eden this cute little bunny.....it's a tummy sleeper just like Eden (well if she has her way she's on her tummy.....my way is she's on her back, lol.)

All the boys after the big hunt.

Cullen was being the cutest ever! He kept putting his arm around Liam and talking in a cute voice. Then he gave Liam some of his candy out of his bag! You had to be there but, that kid is a charmer, and he freaking knows it!

Asher Bedasher hunting.

Tristan on the run!

Hunter with his bag of loot!

Cedric with his club that promptly got torn after being in the car with everyone.

Cullen on the hunt!

We had an Easter brunch at Debbie and Pat's house this year. I took a spinach quiche. There was tons of good food. I swore in the morning that I would not cook again that day because we had two family functions to go to but, alas I had to cook for supper. Junk. It was good to see the Kelley's that aren't here all the time and also the ones who are.

Monchhichi

When I was little I had a monchhichi that I carried around with me everywhere. I LOVED that monchhichi because it sucked it's thumb and so did I. I would watch the show and sing along. Well, if you look in the pictures of Eden's basket you will see that once again Target proves just how freaking cool they are by providing me with a monchhichi for my daughter! Now Eden had one of her very own and I couldn't be more thrilled! Does anyone else remember the monchhichi's?

Easter Morning

The boys helping Eden look at her eater basket. It was really cute.

Asher with his big bunny sucker. The boys had big buckets full of easter goodies!

Eden's first easter basket. I actually bought it on clearance last year when I was still pregnant with her. I had just found out that I was having a little girl. This was like the second girl thing I bought! haha!

The news had said that it was going to storm the whole day so the Easter Bunny didn't leave any eggs outside. Dumb weatherman. It didn't rain all day long. Oh well, the bunny made it to both grandma's houses so they still made out pretty good!

Eggs and Color

Tristan and his dozen

Cedric and his dozen

Asher and his dozen

Liam and his dozen

Cullen and his dozen....mostly orange

Cullen had so much fun dying the eggs! He promptly put most of his eggs in the orange coloring and played in the colored water most of the time.

Tristan and Liam

Our boys!

We colored eggs on Wednesday evening. I boiled five dozen eggs and used three packages of egg dye. The evening started off with me losing my mind because 1) I was in a bad mood all day because Jeremy and I received bad news the day before and 2) just the night before the boys had stolen all of my vinegar to make volcanoes and then there was none left to make the dye bright for the eggs. Oh well. Move on. Get over it.

The boys had a lot of fun and we ended up with great results anyway.

Liam's Tooth

Last Monday Liam came home from school with his tooth missing! We didn't even know it was loose! ha! He thought it was pretty cool that it was gone. This is his very first baby tooth to fall out. He's growing up....awww.

Stinkin' Cute

Cullen likes to dress up in various outfits throughout each day. He loves hats.....maybe it's he and I that will bond over our shared passion for head gear??? Anyway, he also loves boots. but as for the clothes I think he would rather do without. Whenever I tell him we need to get dressed to go somewhere he usually goes to gather some boots and a hat. This kid is stinkin' cute!

Impromptu Photo Shoot

We got the three babies together outside of the anniversary party for a little photo action! They are all SO cute......and Amy too! haha! She was holding Eden and Chase up from behind the bench! Eden wasn't smiling much that day. She was confused I think.

Mallorie, Eden, and Chase

This Town Needs An Enema!

Last night Tristan was watching one if his survival shows that he watches and the guy was telling a story about a family that was lost at sea for a month or more. They couldn't drink the sea water because it would make them go crazy and kill them. So, they did sea water enemas to stay alive.
Then Tristan wanted to know what an enema was! HA! He thought it was disgusting but, I said well, there's worse things that could go up your butt! LOL!
(surely someone knows what the title is from, right?? Kevin????)

70 Years of Marriage

This is Jeremy's Grandma and Grandpa Boyer. Leon and Geneva. They celebrated 70 years of marriage this past weekend! Isn't that amazing! What an accomplishment!

Jeremy, me, and Eden.

All the Boyers.
This is Jeremy's Mom's side of the family.
Leon and Geneva had seven kids, five boys and two girls.

I Think I Need A Snowblower

I would like my house to be more clean, more of the time.
My sister, Vicki, said to me that, "Cleaning the house while the kids are awake is like shoveling the sidewalk while it's still snowing." Or something to that effect anyway. It makes sense.

I'll Let the First Time Slide.....

Today Eden ripped her zebra print bow off of her head. Is it just because she is curious? Or is she going to start ripping everything off of her head?? That will never do. Oh Eden Rose, where did I go wrong?!!? We were going to bond over our love of head gear......

I guess time will tell.
(Eden please come to your senses!)

Chatter

I've gotten so much done this week and it feels grrrreat! Also I'm at my lowest weight since giving birth which brings me to a grand total of 10 pounds lost on the Arbonne Essentials diet. I haven't even been as strict as I should be on the program and it's still working! yay!
On Friday Trisha and I went to a yard sale in Niota then grocery shopping in Burlington. It worked out great because just about every day Asher bugs me about going to see Sarah and her dogs, Ty and Teddy. He LOVES going there! So, he went to Sarah's for the day, and I got to shop with only two kids instead of three! I found a bunch of stuff at the yard sale for Cullen and Eden. I found Cullen a booster seat for $2! Now that Eden is using the high chair too, Cullen needed something else.
Spring is here and I couldn't be more excited! This year I'm actually going to get some yard projects done! Last year I was pregnant and didn't get as much done as I would have liked.
I did an Arbonne Spa Party for Sarah on Saturday and that went really well! And it's so much fun!
Tomorrow I get to go to the dentist for my 1,000,000th root canal. Seriously, I'm sure I've broken some kind of dentistry record or something. Geesh.

Eden's Swing

Eden loves her swing but I thinks she has officially outgrown it. She likes to sit up in it and try to reach everything around her. She's the cutest little girl ever!
So, a few months ago I thought for some reason after Cullen has sat in Eden's swing that it needed tightening or something. I was sure that he had ruined it! So, I put it in the coat closet in hopes that Jeremy would look at it and fix it. Then he never did. So it went to the garage for a short period of time. Anyway, we started cleaning the garage out this weekend and Jeremy took the swing out and asked why it was in there. I told him because he never fixed it. So he set the swing up and what do you know?????? It was never broken to begin with! DOH! So now Eden gets the last few swings out of her time in the swing. Alas, she is too big! AWWWWW.........

Carthage Community Egg Hunt

Carthage had a HUGE easter egg hunt this past Saturday! They had it separated into two year age groups which was awesome! It was so much more fair that way! The kids had a ton of fun! I got there with all six of the kids and lost two immediately! Ugh! I called Jeremy and he came to the rescue! Cullen was scared to death when the big air horn went off for his age group to hunt....so he just screamed a lot and made a big scene. awesome. Asher would not quit picking up eggs before it was time for his group to hunt. Liam likes to boss Asher around so he was yelling at him the whole time. It was all kinda embarrassing but what can you do when you have six kids?!?!

Liam and Asher's Spring Concert 2011

Eden Rose trying ice cream for the first time!

He looks thrilled to be there!

Liam and Asher had a Spring Concert at school last Thursday. It was very hot and crowded. The preschool didn't really sing, they talked and for only one "song". It was GREAT! Liam did really well too! Afterwards we had some Casey's pizza (gross) and some pie. Key lime and Triple Berry Apple Rhubarb! Yum!

Apparently Stupidity Is An Artform Too!

As always, you will have to pause the music playlist on the side column before watching this.

It's An Artform!

Can I be anymore of a basket case today? Oy! It's doesn't help that I'm trying to operate while on these strong pain meds and I my body just doesn't work quite like it used to. My tooth hurts really bad....then I take painkillers to make it stop......then my brain gets rather foggy....I'm tired.....and feeling on the verge of puking constantly. I think my blood pressure takes dives throughout the day as I get rather dizzy as well. *big sigh*
Today I meant to get a lot done. The kids concert is coming up in an hour and half and I'm not feeling very up to it. I did get through one store this morning with three kids in tow. I don't know why I'm rambling like this.

An Update with No Pictures

Lots of fun things are happening! And a couple of not-so-fun things too but we take the good with the bad around here! Eden is sitting up completely unaided now. I can leave her to play and walk out of the room and when I come back she is still sitting up! Awesome sauce! She also is starting to make real sounds like ba-ba-ba. She scoots everywhere too! And is trying to pull herself up......she's getting so big so fast. Her legs are so long. She always outgrows her pants before her shirts. Length wise, I mean. She's in a 12 month pants and still 6-9 tops.
This past week I have been working my butt off outside! It has been such a blessing to be able to do it though. I feel so bad for my mother. She wants to get outside and play in her yard but can't just yet. She wants to find a used golf cart that she can ride around in and shout orders at people who come to help her with her garden and yard work! haha! I think I would have to buy her a megaphone if she did find a used golf cart because that would be hilarious! Anyway, I have a strawberry patch in my yard already that had only June bearing strawberries in it. So a couple of days ago I planted 10 Everbearing plants too. I have 10 more to do. I think I will have strawberries out the wa-zoo! Now, I need to find a good way to keep the bunnies out of the patch. I also planted some rhubarb that I cannot harvest until the third year but,, in three years I'm making a strawberry rhubarb pie! mmmmmm, good. Does anyone know of anything else I can use rhubarb for?!?!?!
I have started driving to Nauvoo to do long and intense walks. There are just not any hills in Carthage anywhere! So, I think I can start a new fitness craze! hehe! Here are the new rules. Pay attention if you plan on walking with me.
  1. At every stop sign I will stop and do 10 squats!
  2. Every time I see a green car I will do a cartwheel!
  3. Kung Fu fighting every time I see a yellow car!
  4. If I pass another person with a stroller I will dance in a small circle singing "ring around the rosie" until I fall down!
  5. I will do 10 toe touches every time I hear a honk from a car.
I think that is enough rules for now but I will add more.

As I am typing this I am feeling more and more loopy. I just two percocets because I have another achy tooth (story of my life!) and it makes me act a little goofy. I think the Schwan man yesterday thought I was cracked out of my tree. Oh well. I kinda was I guess....

OH! I forgot that we got a new cat. Her name is Cammie and she is the best cat ever! WE got her from my sister, Vicki, who got her from one of the pilots on the medical helicopter. She was born on the day after Jeremy and I got married almost 12 years ago! So she's a little old but still very playful! Good with the kids. Litter box trained. Very clean. We like her a lot!
K, I can't hardly type at this point....I have to keep going back and fixing all the mistakes so done for now until the pain goes away.
