New Stuff with The House

Somewhere in the remodeling I have misplaced my card that stores pictures.  Crap.  Double crap.  I have so much to post about and no visuals to go with.  I'm holding out until I find it.  This month has been a doozie!   A lot has happened both good and bad.  I don't think I will remodel anything ever again.  We talked to the guy we know that owns a business here in town and he said that he has bought old houses and remodeled them 4 times!!!! WTF?!!?  WHY????  I don't understand why you would do it when you can buy a brand new house and not have to do a darn thing except move in.  It has been a nightmare.  Every time you think you're close to being done, a "new" problem arises that you could have in no way foreseen.  And there is the problem of living in in while doing it.  Agh.  Try keeping 6 kids out of all the "fun" stuff around the house.  I just don't get why people want to complicate their lives more.  I really don't.  I'm pretty sure we are in this life to be happy and enjoy it.
But, the good side of all of the nonsense is that we finally have a big enough room in the house that we can hang out as a family!! Woot!!!  And new duct work both downstairs and up for central heating and air conditioning!!  We have new floors on the entire bottom floor.  New walls in the new living room and new walls upstairs in the hallway.  A new ceiling in the new living room.  New trim in the new living room.  I painted the new living room but we still have to paint the new dining room/entry way and the upstairs hallway.  And I have to paint the trim still.  We found the original hardwood floors from when the house was built in 1900!! They are actually in really good shape.  I think we will keep them in the new dining room/entryway.  It has been a lot of hard work.  People say that you feel good about yourself after you put in a lot of hard work and then you can sit back and enjoy it.  Not me.  I sit back and say, "that was dumb.  Won't do that again."  That's what I said when I put a lot of hard work into birthing Asher into this world the natural way with no drugs.  Stupid.  One of the dumbest things I've ever done.  Nope.  Give me the drugs.  What's with people being all proud of themselves that they voluntarily put themselves through copious amounts of pain and struggle??? Idiots.  Anyway, I digress.  Next time, new house.....a rental.

In other news........well that will come later with the finding of the lost SD card.
